Feeding babies fat.

Greetings in the name that is above every other name. How have y'all been??? So my people, today I be chatting about how I fed Mikayla, a 2.5kg baby at birth, to now 13.5kg At two years old. OK it all started by her being brought forth(born) early by the mercies of God. She was so tiny. Being inexperienced, I never breastfed for more than 15 minutes. Or very frequently. Although I was bottle feeding, and she always seemed to suck more bottle. Each time I went to the drs, they always called me to talk to me about her weight, I though she was doing OK. As she always gained weight and not loosing on each visit. So I now decided to cluster feed her. I started feeding her every 3 hours. And most of all, I always wake up at night to feed her solids. Like her cereal and then give bottle much later into the night. The reason for this was because I said to myself that those that eat late nights gain weight. So I started feeding her. I wake her up or more like get her on my body and mak...

You deserve a treat too

I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Husband: Hi honey there is this new restaurant I hear about, my friends say the food is really good, we should try it out. wife: babe we can save that mony and use it to buy dippers or towards our mortgage. husband: sweetie I saw this dress and i felt it will be good on you. wife: don't worry I still have some clothes I think I am good. Husband: I am thinking we should plan a get away, for us to relax. wife: really? that would be good, but we could still push it, so we pay out the kids nursery fees and the baby sitter. I complain a lot that my husband does not do this or that, then I had an Epiphany, I found out that the mum in us, the mother hen that we are, even to our husband's , always take over us. This has made it difficult for us to allow our husband do nice stuff for us. I have spoken to a couple of women and this is the case. its difficult for us to look beyond the debt we owe, things that need attention...

Partnership business

Image
I bring you greetings from the one who is gracious to us all. Today I want to inspire women about partnership business. I am a lawyer by profession, and to be honest its not like in the movies where it portrays lawyers as wealthy. So one day my friend Kemi said she had pigs and that she wanted to expand to keep them close as oppose to the community pen where she kept them. We ran a cost and I decided I would join her. However as time went by, I grew cold feet and spoke to my elder sister and she showed interest and so did my mum. we came into partnership with Kemi and another of her friend. We joint funds and built the pens and also money for feeding and payment of salary for the woman in the community who now works on the pig farm. The benefits I can tell of partnership business is that everyone has a say, and moneys are brought together. On a normal day, I could not afford the running cost of the monthly expenses, but by dividing what ever it cost in a month by 4 makes it easy....

Singles and Married

Hello precious ones, greetings in the name that is above every other name. Today I be chatting about praying for your husband's for both single and married ones. When I and Pancakes started out, we prayed a lot for each other and our future. If we eventually did get married. We prayed for our kids and our career too. At that time it seemed crazy but I have come to understand that prayer prayed ahead in the future does a lot. As a married hottie( yeah I know am hot) many people keep wondering if my husband is my boyfriend or if we truely are married because of the positive love vibes we send. I remember my brother in law saying my house has this aura of love in it and also of peace. My friends that stay in our spear room always confirm to me that there is peace and love upon my home. Those who come always had a good sleep, rest and feel relaxed. I tell them that it goes back to the foundation. My uncle always says pray your husband never cheats on you. And here I am think...

Child discipline

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I do hope I meet you all well? Today I will be blogging about disclipine in toddlers and children. Our daughter is 16 months now, and trust me she has started to test me. She wants to have her way, or slap me when she is upset or fall on the floor not minding where she is. Many atimes, I let her get away with it, however my husband always tell me that I need to start from now and disclipine her, and in his words, it's better you discipline and not cry in the future. And this is so true. As a parent until the day u go and be with the Lord, you will always worry after your children no matter how old they are. I see my friend Kemi, very firm with her son, and I admire it. If she calls his name and rebukes him, he listens or if she say leave there its dangerous, he leaves. But not my‎ child, she knows I am not firm so she plays on it, and especially in public it embarrasses me and stresses me out. I guess everyone has their own way o...

Potty training

I greet you all in the name of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. I pray his grace and favour upon all my readers. OK potty training it is today. This how I started. For when my daughter started to sit, I introduced the potty to her, and I followed her routine. She wakes up and then poos. So every mornings for the last 6 months or so I put her on the potty. When she was about 7 months, I put her and make the sound of pee or bear down and she copy's me and we have been successful. So far we hardly have poopy dippers in my home. But she does have days where she gets off the potty and all she wants is to poo on the floor. Or days she sit and not go. Take her off, and she goes on her dippers. One of the ways that helped me achieve this is that I got a comfortable potty. Them ones that hos a back rest. That looks like a chair. So she can lean back as she watches videos of herself on my phone. And I found out that because she is use to it, she now wakes up in the mornings and says mama ...

Baby Diapper rash

Greetings to you all in the name of our dear Lord Jesus Christ. I do hope my post meets you all well. OK today I be talking about baby dipper rash. Since I had my daughter, I bought this ointment called aquaphor, its an american brand, I know in the UK we also use sudo cream or you can get pure paterolume jelly. As I was saying before I got carried away.... I started from the hospital applying a significant amount on her bum after every dipper change. And I have learned form my elder sister that dipper maybe expensive, but sleepless night over dipper rash is not what you would want to go through . so in light of this, once my baby girl is wet, I don't allowed her dipper get overly full before I change her. So in my own one year baby mama opinion, change your baby often and try to change quicker when baby poos. So my tips on how I personally avoided dipper rash is this: 1) apply a barrier on her bum, I alternate between aquaphor and Shea butter. 2) I started putting her on a pot...

Sleep when your Baby is sleeping.

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today I want to talk about the common cliche that I was told "sleep once your baby is asleep". The big question is that does this really work? Is it ideal? OK, for me yeah, I have found out that it is not realistic for me, because most of the time, after all the bouncing, singing and dancing round the house,to get Mikayla to sleep, I am already fully awake and cannot go to sleep. Most of the time, when I think of sleeping and I am eyeing the pile of clothes, OR the full sink OR the dirty floor, and I ask myself, who will clean up this mess, while I take my beauty sleep? No one. A times I find out that once she is asleep, I can work very quickly with sanity of mind, peacefully and not feeling irritated or on edge. So for me, sleep while she is asleep does not work for me. But... There are days I just allow nature rock me to sleep as she sleeps, I wake up refreshed or with a headache , because she does not sleep f...
