Child discipline

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I do hope I meet you all well? Today I will be blogging about disclipine in toddlers and children. Our daughter is 16 months now, and trust me she has started to test me. She wants to have her way, or slap me when she is upset or fall on the floor not minding where she is. Many atimes, I let her get away with it, however my husband always tell me that I need to start from now and disclipine her, and in his words, it's better you discipline and not cry in the future. And this is so true. As a parent until the day u go and be with the Lord, you will always worry after your children no matter how old they are. I see my friend Kemi, very firm with her son, and I admire it. If she calls his name and rebukes him, he listens or if she say leave there its dangerous, he leaves. But not my‎ child, she knows I am not firm so she plays on it, and especially in public it embarrasses me and stresses me out. I guess everyone has their own way of discliping, however I belive we shoul descipline them, most especially because they would always test you when ever you are out, that firm voice, that eyes those little words said in languages. They reset and act better. I remember my friend Kormassah, saying to me, it's the eyes I give them, and they know they are not behaving. And NĂ©ed to re ajust. I feel it's always better to start at a young age, beacsue as they grow bigger they get wiser, but once u set your bounaries, it makes life easy for u at home and outside. Then I read something amazing in the book of proverbs which says foolishness abounds in the heart of a child, but the rod drives it far from them. So it shows that a child will always act up, now its up to us to use the rod, which can be a firm voice, denial of what they want, time outs, grounding, and so much more. Always remember as my hasband would say, be firm now or you cry over that child in the future. The Lord help us all.
