Myomectomy surgery, and my faith

I was 26 years old when I found out that I had fibroids. I am African American.
I have had heavy periods with clots for 3years but when I went to my GP, the nurse dismissed it as anemia
and probably my change in diet.
In 2012 after uni, I decided to have the contraceptive implant under my arm so I could focus on my education to become a lawyer. Whilst I was in law school, I did not have a period for 6 months, but on the 7th month I had a very heavy clot so much that it weighed down my knickers, as big as an orange that came out, I was scared and ran to d GP and he thought I was having a miscarriage, and I thought that the contraceptive had failed me. But after a pregnancy test I was not, and then the doctor spoke to me about Fibroids, which I dismissed because all the people I knew that had Myomectomy where in their late or early 40s so I dismissed it.
In November 2013 after I was called to the bar (became a solicitor and advocate) I had taken out the implant in October because it had made me pile on a lot of weight, from a size 10 to a size 12-14. I had a period that was unbearable and I felt my vagina was sore I was cramping so bad, I had to  go in for a scan and I found out I had fibroids that measured 81.95mm, which was the biggest one and I had 4 of them. I went home and prayed with my mum, prayed with my husband, and decided to get pregnant with the fibroids, however I had tried for months and it did not get pregnant, each month my period came it was so painful, I feel sore, tired, drained, a pulling feeling in my pelvic and pressure to my bladder, it was so bad that I stop work the days when I was on my periods.
In June 2014 I started seeing a dr. he was a recommended professor DR Ekwempu, and he advised I take them out as being pregnant will hurt worse than my current pain. He recommended I had a HGS xray. (oh lord don’t get me started on that painful procedure, please have a strong painkiller before you go for yours. ) I had my Myomectomy on the 26th of June, I had my last meal at 10 pm before the surgery. I prayed with my husband and my family, my husband raised specific prayer points that put my heart to rest. I packed my hospital bag with the following: sanitary pads (4) loose knickers (4) deodorant, long shirts, slippers, body cream, small towel, soap, black tea, and my tooth brush and tooth paste, hand sanitize, tissue paper and a fleece. I had my mum come stay with me for a week.
On that day, I had a spinal injection like an epidural, which was so painful, each injection that went into my spine I spoke in the Holy Ghost. ( don’t forget to wax your vaginal area before the surgery, I shaved and after a week the hair had grown back, and taking out my plaster was so painful because the hair was stuck to the plaster and my wound was still raw)  The doctor explained to me that this procedure was better that having a GA, as a GA will make me cough, which will hurt my incision. I also did not have the Lupron at all, I just went in straight and I did not lose any blood. I was awake throughout the operation that lasted 3hours and the doctors found out that I also had an ovarian cyst, which was so huge, bigger than the fibroid (will attach a picture of the cyst the professor took whilst I was in theatre) when I came out I was in pain, but I was dosed up with pain killers, and I had some bleeding's, which I used my pads for but without knickers for the first day, and I lay on my back all through the first day. And after the 2nd day I could get up with assistance to go and wee which was so painful, and I did not fart until after 3 days and did not poo until after 6days, the trick is to eat more and have fruits to soften your bowels.

Thank you for reading and God bless.
