5 weeks post Fibroid surgery

Hello lovely people.

This is an update on how I am doing post 5 weeks of surgery. I had an appointment with my doctor on Monday, and all is well with me.

I had my period which was a week late. It was quite heavy and I did see very tiny strands of clots, accompanied with pains in my tummy, vagina and back, so much that I had to call my doctor, who told me that it was normal, as I am still healing. He said he usually places women on some kind of drug which makes them feel menopausal and quite uncomfortable so he did not place me on it. He however said that my next period would be lighter with no pain, so I look forward to it later in the month.

After my period, I took a 15 minutes walk ( did not time the walk) around the neighbourhood, when I came back I noticed that I was bleeding, but it ceased at night time. The doctor explained that I had not fully healed internally. I do hope to resume work next week, but will not stay long hours, until after the end of the month or 2 weeks at most, so my body gets accustomed to the long hours gradually.

The doctor has placed me on some folic acid and omega 3 tablets to prepare my womb for conception. I and my husband have prayed over the drugs, and trust God that by October, I will be with child. (oh the doctor said I could start trying by October)

Ahhh yes! Konji(sexual urge) did strike again, and the deed was done, and this time around I was successful, but on Sunday morning, I thought I was in labour, my tummy felt as if it was going to rip out, I had to take tramadol to calm the pain, my sweet husband felt guilty for last night pleasure. So now, no more sex until ahhh, whenever, no matter how the konji strikes.

Thank you for reading. I appreciate your comments. God bless
